John Tubridy of FranNet

John Tubridy is uniquely qualified as a FranNet business advisor having spent over 25 years in business as a general manager with primary experience in business development, sales and marketing, and project management. He assists individuals to find the franchise opportunity that is right for them.

John’s previous position as Vice President of Business Development for Lee Hecht Harrison, an International Career Services Company has given him a keen insight into the career decision making process that is involved with making the leap into the world of entrepreneurship.

John owns and operates Franchise Network of Pittsburgh and is well connected in the business community through several of the Pittsburgh Area Chamber of Commerce’s and Pittsburgh Champions and is active as a Board Member on a few local Pittsburgh organizations. John hopes to create opportunities for all those individuals in the Western Pennsylvania and Northern West Virginia who have dreams of owning their own business.

Ron Kubitz of Brayman Construction Corporation

Ron Kubitz is currently the Recruiting/Training Manager for Brayman Construction Corporation. Ron has been instrumental in the hiring of over 175 individuals in his four years with Brayman and has also led the efforts to create “Brayman University” the corporate training standard within Brayman. He has also been the key force behind   the successful start-up of employee orientation/on-boarding programs as well as creating a Social Media initiative within the Brayman organization. His use of Social Media recruiting has enabled Brayman to shrink their recruiting budget by 50% while increasing hiring by over 70% during their recent three year growth phase. Kubitz came to Brayman after having spent 20 years within varied roles for both local and national recruiting firms.

An accomplished presenter Ron is sought after in regard to his expertise within the world of Social Media. Ron is recognized as a Linkedin LION and has garnered a Linkedin network of over 19 million connections worldwide. Highly active in the world of HR on other Social Media sites such as Twitter and Facebook Ron is also an active blogger and has spoken on the topic of Social Media to groups such as the AGC (Associated General Contractors), PHRA (Pittsburgh Human Resources Assn.) and SHRM as well as at many local colleges and networking groups.

Ron is a certified AIRS Sourcer/Recruiter as well as CPC certified.  A graduate of Duquesne University he also takes great pride in volunteering his time and efforts in the “Educator in the Workplace” program as well as working with high school students as they prepare for the work world ahead of them.

Ruby S. Wilkosz, Regional Director, Working Order program, Volunteers of America of Pennsylvania, Inc.

Ruby Wilkosz brings more than 30 years of experience in small business banking, operations, HR management, tax preparation, and accounting to her role as Regional Director for Volunteers of America’s Working Order program, a small business incubator for developing and supporting entrepreneurship. Business coaching is available for individuals with low incomes, disadvantages, disabilities or other obstacles to traditional employment.

Ruby’s professional strengths include team building, active listening skills, problem solving and an ability to orchestrate resources and network contacts. The Pittsburgh Business Times has named Ruby as one of the Top 25 Women in Business in 2010. Ruby is a board member for the Pennsylvania Rehabilitation Association and secretary for the Greater Pittsburgh Supported Employment Association. She is also a member of Pittsburgh Coaches Association, National Rehabilitation Association, National Business Incubation Association, The Chamber of Commerce, Inc., Pittsburgh Watercolor Society, Bairdford United Methodist Church, Pittsburgh Professional Women, Women Etcetera, and the Greater Pittsburgh Nonprofit Partnership. Ruby is leading a project for Volunteers of America funded by the Pennsylvania Developmental Disabilities Council to create a statewide network of entrepreneurial resources for persons with disabilities.

She is enrolled in the La Roche College business management degree program. She earned her Associate’s Degree in Accounting at Butler Community College in 1976. In September of 2010, Ruby was recognized as a distinguished alumni.

She enjoys watercolor painting, trying new foods, traveling and learning something new every day.
